Browns and Rainbows are still taking egg patterns on the Cowichan. Steelhead are pushing into most of the water in the sections below Skutz Falls. Wonderfully fresh fish are being hooked on a variety of patterns, but the Prom Dress has drawn the attention of several fish.

The summer season at Kalum River Lodge drew to a close and as you can see from the photos below it was a great season. Our guests had some super fishing on the Skeena as well as the Kitimat River.

August 2011 Steelhead Report Kitimat

This week has been nothing but spectacular as attached are a assortment of happy clients. One of the larger Salmon this week was caught by Greg from Edmonton who drove in for a day on the Skeena and what a day, many Chinooks, 3 Coho, and a large Chinook that bust the line after taking most of the spool during a fight that ended in Salmon as victor.
